DISTRICT COUNCILLOR 

On 4th May 2023 the residents of Lea will have the opportunity to vote for their District Councillor. A councillor's primary role is to represent their ward or division and the people who live in it. Councillors provide a bridge between the community and the council. In order to select a chosen candidate, residents will need to attend the Polling Station in the village hall and cast their vote.

You MUST have photo ID with you in order to vote. You can find out what will be accepted at  https://www.electoralcommission.org.uk 

 

PARISH COUNCILLOR

Lea Parish Council can have up to 9 Parish Councillors. On 4th May 2023 all existing Councillors end their 4 year term of office regardless of when they started. Anyone wishing to be a Parish Councillor can complete an application form, available from West Lindsey District Council. Applications must be submitted by 4th April 2023. If 9 or less people apply to be a Councillor then all qualifying candidates will be co-opted on to the Parish Council. If more than 9 people apply then there will be an election on May4th 2023 to appoint 9 candidates.
