Minutes from council meeting on Mar 11th 2024 7pm at Butlers Pantry
Present: Councillors – Helen Leone(Chair), Barry Rooks(Parish Clerk), Jill Martin, Mark Stephenson, Kevin Martin, Emma Bailey.
1. Apologies. All Cllrs present.
2. To receive declarations of interest in accordance with the Localism Act 2011 and to receive any applications for Dispensation. Members may make any declarations at this point but may also make them at any point during the meeting. Cllr Bailey declared an interest regarding a planning application as she sits on the WLDC planning committee.
3. To approve the Minutes of the Meeting held on 15th Jan 2024. Council approved.

Council accepted reports and consolidation of income and expenditure. Personnel committee to meet to discuss clerks salary.
4.2 Review grass cutting quote. Council accepted and ratified quote from Tivoli for 2024 grass cutting in Lea. Clerk to contact Tivoli.
5. Tennis Club. Cllr Leone. Cllrs Leone, K Martin & Stephenson to meet with Tennis Club to discuss future lease arrangements. Cllr Leone to organise date and time.
6. Lea Park maintenance. Pathway lights. Cllr Leone. Council agreed to install one light on the new path beside the play park and review effectiveness.
7. Planning Application 147820. Cllr Leone. Cllr Leone has responded to planning committee in line with the Lea Neighbourhood Plan.
8. Footpath between Lea Park and Rose Gardens, update. Cllr Bailey. Rippon Homes have agreed to correct the height differential between the paths to make it safe at a future date.
Discussions to rectify the sewage issues are ongoing.
9. Positioning of 30mph signs. Cllr Bailey. Cllr K Martin to install two new 30mph speed signs. Locations agreed.
10. Lea Park inspections. Cllr K Martin. No issues reported with the new play park equipment. Cllr K Martin to repair damage to fence near Sheriffs Walk. Current rubbish bin in the play park is too small for the current usage. Cllr Bailey to request a bigger bin from WLDC, any additional costs for purchasing and installation were agreed by the council.
(Added: Arborist advice was taken regarding the fallen tree which advised that the tree should be left in place for wildlife and that there was no immediate risk to the public)
11. Correspondence :
Post office van on pathways. Clerk to contact Royal Mail and email resident.
12. Next project? Cllr Leone.

Lea litter pick arranged for Sunday 21st April, 10am-12pm, meet at Butlers Pantry. All are welcome to help. All equipment provided. Cllr Bailey to contact WLDC regarding a larger bin and litter picking equipment.

All councillors to review past projects and prepare ideas for future projects for the next meeting in order to prepare the next 2 year plan.
